Petrol price Increase, what the heck? What happen to the subsidies, Petronas is still earning money, while we are still paying taxes for our Car (why don’t government compare car price through out the world, and reduce the taxes), We have oil reserved but Petronas is taking all the profit. We have national car, but Proton is taking all the profit. Why the hell are we protecting these companies? They are big but not helping the nation, but only make use of our taxes!
Here is some price comparison, and as usual, the price for gas is lowest for the region, hmm……other than Singapore and Thailand which have limited or no oil reserved and limited land area can implement higher petrol and expensive cars, Malaysia should only pay either lower car price or lower petrol.

totally agreed….
haha, i also posted a topic on my blog this morning.
this is wat we call “kluar poket kiri masuk poket kanan” … goman petronas … petronas gomen … same fler niah …. buden they rather we suffers instead of them losing their helicopters and lavish cars !
On the topic of increase in petrol, well, when you choose to rely on a source of energy that will run out, what did you expect?
I understand that, but when our country have the source of energy, it is their job to make sure that everyone have a fair share, therefore subsidising to all users.
But countries that pay fluctuating petrol prices are having cheap cars, very cheap cars. Therefore making their transportation cost similar with ours. But the different is that their country have already limited or run out of oil reserves, while Malaysia still have like 60+ years of reserves to go.
We cannot blame the govt for this. The subsidies are for the people, due to increase of cars in the recent years, the subsides were equally divided, that is one of the many reasons. I have read an article on don’t buy petrol from few major companies like Shell, Mobil&Esso and Projet. Buying petrol from Petronas will in a way to help to sustain the increase of petrol price. Govt is good enof, just don’t blame them. They are trying to lessen our burden as well eg reducing the road tax.
I know that our petrol is actually quite cheap. US is paying an average of USD3.00+ / gallon (approx RM2.94/liter). Even I have just went to Thailand on 7th September price is around 2.5/litrer.
My point our transportation cost in total increase because we pay high price for our car.
Another point I would like to make is that we have supported Proton for 20 years now. And Proton still makes Car that have no quality at all.
