Google may start a Classifieds

Posted under News

This may just be the newpaper classifieds killer and eBay killer. But it seems pretty good for Google to start one. Because most probably it will be free, just some google ads, they have wide users and visitors therefore making selling and buying much easier. But they seems like killing all other internet website bit by bit and later when you noticed, Google is everything on the internet ever needs.

Hopefully it does not affect my Malaysia Classifieds.

Phone that saves TV broadcasting replay

LG - TV Broadcastin reply Handphone

I don’t even have one of this phone that can watch TV or any 3G service yet, they alreay come out with a phone that could save replay. This TiVo is actually a digital recorder and it is like the gadget of the year for year 2003 in United States. But don’t know why it did not come in Malaysia??

LG Electronics unveils the world????s first digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB) phone with a so-called ??time machine???? function. While watching the broadcast, users can answer phone calls without worrying about missing important parts as the time-machine function in the phone saves them for replay. The phone will be introduced at the Korea Electronics Show 2005 which opens Tuesday at the Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) in Ilsan, Gyeonggi Province.

Copy USB Flash Drive to another without a computer

Posted under General

Flashpoint

FlashPoint ShareDrives have an integrated female USB connector so you can now plug a cable or another device into the same USB port in which the FlashPoint ShareDrive is attached. With all of this added technology to the FlashPoint ShareDrives physical size remains the same as most existing pen drives. FlashPoint ShareDrives are available in three colors including white, black and silver.

With the FlashPoint drive technology a user does not need a computer, laptop or palm computer to copy files on the go.

Great technology sized slightly bigger than normal flash drive but I make file sharing much easier. I would say the price right now is quite reasonable 128MB for $69.90 upto 1GB for $149.95.

Bomb in Bali again after the 2002 blast

Posted under News

JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) — Several explosions occurred almost simultaneously Saturday in tourist areas of Bali island, causing casualties, police and a private Indonesian radio station said. A witness told the radio station at least two people were killed.

At least three blasts occurred along Jimbaran beach, which is lined with seafood restaurants commonly frequented by tourists, El Shinta radio reported. Witnesses saw at least three injured foreigners leaving the scene, the station said.

One witness told Metro TV that one of the explosions was close to the Four Seasons Hotel, which sits on the bay, and “people are still being evacuated.”

Another explosion hit downtown Kuta, about 18 miles away, the radio said.

Bali police spokesman Lt. Col. Antonius Reniban confirmed that several blasts went off, but he could not say if they were bombs.

“There have been some explosions in Jimbaran and Kuta area, but we cannot give any details,” he said. “Police are still investigating.”

In 2002, bombings blamed on the al-Qaeda-linked militant group Jemaah Islamiyah killed 202 people, mostly foreigners, on Bali island.

Since then, the same extremist group has been tied to at least two other bombings in Indonesia, both in the capital, Jakarta.

Those blasts, one at the J.W. Marriott hotel in 2003 and the other outside the Australian Embassy in 2004, killed at least 23 people.

Western and Indonesian intelligence agencies have consistently warned that the group was plotting more attacks. Last month, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said he was especially worried the network was about to carry out more attacks.
