I have been trying hard to promote Syiok.com. It is definately one of the very first online classifieds in Malaysia. I don’t even remember when Syiok.Com started officially, but from the domain it was registered Oct 18, 2004. The official website should be launched a month later. It was hard at first because no one would give it the first few post.
First 100 users at Syiok.Com was at Apr 29th, 2005 – It was a good moment, after more than 7 months of hard work and coding it for SEO friendly.
Second 100 users to Syiok.Com was much faster June 21st, 2005 – I learn that this is going to be a exponential growth. More readers = More Buyer = More Posting = More Google Listing = More Traffic > This cycle goes back to somemore readers.
A year later June 9th marked Syiok.Com 1000th users.
Shortly after, actually quite long also, but it was plan much earlier than March 10th 2007. I have my identity, SyiokDotCom. I printed 100 polo t-shirt with all my earning through out the years to promote my websites. It wasn’t succesful and I stop giving them out because I have to mail them and it is very costly and slow. Not sure where my shirt will end up.
Today we have 2947 users and more than close to 5k pageviews a day.
