It seems that Malaysian are reluctant to give our their broken/useless stuff to others? Is this because they have donated all their old clothes to the tsunami victim? Even their broken TV?

This is what happen in US that inspired me to have this classifieds:-

Someone have a broken TV and do not plan to fix it, most probably he/she is planing for an upgrade to LCD TV. The will decide to give out the TV by posting at an online classifieds, and mention that maybe there is “no sound”. If you like to explore, or if your are a student who have some kind of similar project, you could make good use of it. The bonus is that if you could fix it, it is yours to keep.

Second Story

This happen to me, some new family just moved to California and obviously they moved with tones of cartons. When I was planing to come back to Malaysia, I just had to drive to their driveway to choose the good cartons so that it could withstand the sea freight. This is actually better than recycling, because you are basically reusing, no reprocessing.

Third Story

This also happened to me, when I left, I got a Free 19″ TV (old tv that is working) and some cartons. Finally, I gave out the TV, Hangers, Cupboard, Books, Some Boxes of Face Mask (I had them for SARS, :)) and other small stuff. Within an hour everything was gone and one person actually knock my door asking for hangers because she just moved into town. It is just a brilliant method and I felt so much a community there.

I hope that Malaysian will be inspired by this to start letting others to reuse your goods because there is no point keeping something with you when it is not used at all. Post your free stuff here.
