I hope that it would not affect my classifieds. As always, the big boys with money would just launch something so big that all the initial starter will just die off. But with more support from Malaysian to my homepage, I believe that Syiok.Com will be a huge success.

We have been very strong in the property market and then next to used car. I am also aiming for Jobs posting as almost all Job classifieds charge a bomb to post.

I am currently first page for Malaysia Property, Malaysia Classifieds, Malaysia Used Car and not to mention other smaller keyword at Google.
My hope is to get first page for the keyword Malaysia Jobs in Google as it is searched quite often. I am competing with almost 41 million other pages. Currently in page two. If anyone can support me by linking to me with the keyword “Malaysia Jobs”. I will provide you a link at my link page here, just leave me a comment.
Anyone who own a blog, website, or even friendster profile, kindly promote syiok.com to your friends and family. The more people using this page, the more buyer and seller. As a result, you will buy cheaper cars (coz no agent) and also sell your second hand car higher (coz no agent again) both the buyer and seller split the agent cost.
Think far, and you know that you will definately benefit from this homepage and it is free for both buyer and seller.
Support Syiok.Com for Malaysian venture for online success.

When I was schooling in US, using a online classifieds, I manage to get a 17″ monitor from a total stranger. Which was very cool. How come? This person is moving and he doesn’t want to bring it along. Therefore he posted it in this classifieds, and so happen I was surfing the website. It was less then 10mins drive from my house. Came back home 20mins later with a 17″ monitor. Before I came back to Malaysia for good, I gave out even more as I am unable to move most stuff. Here is the stuff that I remember:-
17″ monitor
Plastic Shelf (some plastic and could stack more to make them higher)
Hangers
Some of Surgical Mask I had
I just left my address, and left the whole pack of junk in front my house. What you know, after I came back from some grocery shopping, it was gone. A girl even came by asking if I still have the hangers.
What I usually see listed are like broken television (if you could fix them, it is free), broken stereo system, dirt (weird), carton boxes (for moving, I got some free too), some furniture (futon, sofa, bed etc) and there is lotsa weird stuff, but I guess it will definitely be useful for someone out there.
Don’t keep the junk in your house. Give them out! Someone out there will have a better use rather than keeping stuff in your storeroom and collecting dust. Donate your junk.

I learn that moving hosting is pretty painless. I tought it would be much harder. But it takes a while for the nameserver to change.
Another thing is to make sure that your database is exported out and then upload to the new ones. If the name and password is changed, you will need to look for a config file which will include the password and username of the mySQL database. Change it to the new ones.
If your new host have a different username. You need to change the script path too. Each script (I think most, including Wordpress) will have one of its path in mySQL, only phpbb forum doesn’t have one.
Just login to phpmyadmin, then search for your old username, you should get like
/home/oldusername/domain/something.com/blog/
If you change you username, it should be different now.
This should be the same for DirectAdmin hosting company but I don’t know about cpanel.

I think I will host my website with Gethosted.com.my. I was looking around for a hosting company as my hosting term will end on October. But to make sure that I could transfer everything without any problem, I would like to get them earlier. They currently have discount for share hosting:-
Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka! We are celebrating our Merdeka anniversary and all of our SHARED WEB HOSTING are 50% off for the first year. Use this coupon code when order. Coupon code: “merdeka” without the quote.
Seems like a pretty good deal for me and it is using direct admin, which is what I am currently using. Transfering should be easy, but still need to spend some time to make sure everything will be running fine.
If anyone of you have any comment, good or bad, kindly voice out now.
